One New Change has chosen The Prince’s Trust as its charitable partner for the year and aims to raise £50,000. The Prince’s Trust is the UK’s leading youth charity and helps change young lives. It gives practical and financial support, developing key workplace skills such as confidence and motivation. It works with 14-to-30-year-olds who have struggled at school, have been in care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law.

The Prince of Wales’s charity has helped more than 600,000 young people since 1976 and supports 100 more each working day. Last year, 81 per cent of young people supported by The Trust moved into work, education, training or volunteering and helped 3,695 young people in London alone.
One New Change wants to make a positive difference to the lives of young Londoners during the economic downturn and help them move into work, training or education. Further information about The Prince’s Trust is available at

The City of London Corporation is a uniquely diverse organisation with three main aims

- to support and promote the City as the world leader in international finance and business services
- to provide high quality local services and policing for those working in, living in and visiting the Square Mile
- to provide valued services to London and the nation as a whole, including its role as one of the most significant arts sponsors in the UK and its support for the economic development of the surrounding boroughs.

The City Corporation is older than Parliament and its experience and tradition underpin its modern role as the provider of key services. Elected Members, headed by the Lord Mayor, operate on a non-party political basis.

Cheapside is becoming one of the City of London’s most prestigious shopping destinations, offering visitors a variety of contemporary retail and leisure facilities seven days a week. The aim of the Cheapside Initiative is to manage a coordinated approach to development, generating a step change in visitors' perceptions of Cheapside by creating a strong business and retail voice for the area. Long term benefits will be established for existing businesses, as well as attracting new ones into the area.

The Initiative will attract further inward investment by strengthening the retail offer of the area. Anchored by two major new retail developments at each end of the street – One New Change and Walbrook Square, the initiative will transform this historic marketplace within the Square Mile.

An Employment charter for Cheapside has been established to support One New Change employers with all their recruitment and training needs at zero cost.  Job brokerage facilities, training schemes, candidate pre-screening and skills testing is all available to you.

If you are a retailer in Cheapside and require free assistance to fill job vacancies please send an email to or visit
